Do you mean Alice from the Resident Evil films? She is pretty kickass!
Re: Favorite zombie film heroine
Yeah, I also liked the one girl who helped her in the third movie she was kickass too.

Ah, Michelle Rodriguez.... Even though she is often typecast, she exemplifies the perfect woman to me. She has beauty, brains, compassion, and she can beat up boys! LOL! I really loved her in Avatar too!

Mine would be Dawn of the Dead remake, Resident Evil, original Night of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead series, The Horde and Doghouse. I hope in 2012 they come out with some good new zombie flicks.

Original Night of the Living Dead
28 Weeks Later
(go ahead and make fun...) Dead Snow
The first two really freak me out. I guess the second one mainly because of how fast and brutal the things are.
The last is just awesome. I love the effects and the fact that they're Nazis out for revenge.

Favourite zombie movies: Dawn of the dead (78), dawn of the dead (o4), day of the dead (84), Night of the living dead (68), night of the living dead (90), plus many more, lol
Favourite heroinne: Barbara from the 1990 version of night of the living dead (dir. Tom Savini)
Favourite Anti-heroinne: 'Julie' in Return of the living dead part 3
Don't get me started on the 28 weeks later, 28 days later argument. I love both movies they're way up in my top films, but they're live humans infected with the rage virus, not dead.

I agree. I suppose that's why it scared me so much. They were so fast and so... violent. I consider them zombies just the same: they don't remember who they were, they want to EAT you, and they can take some serious injuries and still come at you. But yes, they are NOT the undead zombies. You're 100% right.

agree
TBH I think they are far more frightening, as you never know what governments are working on behind the scenes.
Re: Favorite zombie film heroine
While it is highly doubtful that there would ever be such a thing as the undead variety, you never know if scientists could manipulate a virus or some sort of toxin as part of a bioterrorism thing. That would be very scary if it were true!
