I'll admit it. The whole zombie thing just wasn't a scene I was into before. Rotting corpses that don't fall down? Big deal. They don't have the deadly charm of the vampire or the beastly savagery of the werewolf.

I had seen all the zombie movies floating around there and wasn't impressed, for the most part. And then, I discovered this little graphic novel series called The Walking Dead. Wow! The world that wasn't sinking in before was now opening before my eyes. A little later, AMC brought The Walking Dead to TV and I became a lifetime zombiephile.

I'll probably never know why it took so long for the zombie bug to bite me but I'm glad it finally did.

I'm looking forward to getting to know some of my future allies in the upcoming zombie apocalypse.
